Instagram Triggers

As with other social media platforms, the most important part of using Instagram for your business is to trigger a response from platform users. You must use images that emotionally trigger viewers. Users respond to an image because it elicits an emotion in them, not because of its technical brilliance.

The simplest method to discover the types of images you should be utilizing is to conduct a search within your market sector and review the comments. Sometimes a large number of comments is sufficient to indicate that an image is effective as a trigger; envision receiving the following comments on your images:

  • I just purchased it myself!

  • Shipping by Monday! Unable to wait!

  • I have it! – I adore it!

  • I want!!

  • This completes me!

  • My friends will lose their minds!

There are strong emotions at play when we view images on Instagram, and you want your consumers' emotions to be triggered when they see something that excites them.

Images that trigger emotions result in thoughts and sentiments that have a significant impact on purchasing decisions.

Instagram Triggers

The foundation of your Instagram marketing strategy is recognizing and appealing to these deep-seated emotions, as well as weaving them into your messages in an effective manner. As with most online marketing strategies, the goal is to establish an instant connection; however, you must focus on the image you are publishing before considering the content you will use to support it.

Instagram marketing is significantly less covert than other forms of advertising!

Positive results will follow if you are able to elicit emotion in the proper manner.

There are, of course, an infinite number of emotional triggers that marketers have discovered since the advent of direct response marketing, but our research indicates that the following are the most effective on Instagram:

  • Love. "Love" is a prevalent response to an image on Instagram. The message is unambiguous, correct? People cherish past possessions, current possessions, and those they hope to acquire in the future. People continually love something. Use only images you "love"

  • Desire. People have a strong desire to acquire possessions and characterize themselves by what they possess – "this is so me!"

  • Participation or ownership. People will adopt the objective of ensuring that your brand is widely shared if you cultivate a strong following of brand advocates who sense a personal investment in and even ownership of your brand. "Everyone I know enjoys this!"

  • Justification. A flash sale is an excellent justification. A buy-one-get-one-free promotion provides justification. "There is no downside to purchasing this"

  • Collection. "This seller just gets me, I love everything they do!" If your consumers are defining themselves by purchasing your products, continue to offer them more.

  • Greed. What motivates individuals to hunt for deals and act quickly when they find a good one? Greed is frequently the response. Greed is a major motivator for human action. People are motivated by greed to enter contests, arrive early to a formal opening, and wait outside a store all night before a product launch. You will never fail if you concentrate your efforts on selling to the hungry.

  • Urgency. Having a limited amount of time to respond to an offer generates urgency. It is one of the most effective sales instruments and complements justification.

The most prominent feature on Instagram is exclusivity. When something is scarce, its desirability inevitably increases. People desire something more when it is exclusive than when it is not.

Customized product businesses flourish on the Internet and are the backbone of Instagram; after all, who does not want to own the only one of its kind on the planet?

And the big one on Instagram is Exclusivity.

Customized products are one-of-a-kind and made to order.

Typically, these products have an apparently infinite number of variants, such as furniture with various materials and colors and jewelry with various settings and stones. Alternatively, they may be personalized, such as T-shirts with printed insignia and picture frames with a name engraved.

This gives potential customers the impression that their product is unique. Instagram users enjoy the control that customization of products provides. Additionally, it is an excellent solution for those who cannot locate a specific item.

And if you offer reasonably priced, personalized gifts, you could be sitting on a fortune!
